Faithful readers, I apologize for my absence the past 2 weeks, needless to say they have been crazy. I’m currently exhausted after a road trip with some friends to SWC Monterey and San Francisco. At the moment I’m trying to get ready for the week, but I wanted to quench your thirsty blog taste-buds with a few short thoughts.

Pause.

Smile. Right now, just smile.

I’m not sure how you are feeling right now, but I’d bet money that smiling just now made you happy.

I’m too tired to look up the study, but a long time ago I heard somewhere that if you smile, your mood will follow. I use this human-body-hack all the time because it’s absolutely awesome.

In fact, one of my favorite things to do if I notice that I’m getting angry, sad, frustrated or irritated is to remember how awesome our God is and then smile. There’s not much in this life that can bring you down if you know how to do those two things.

So next time your stuck in a grip of traffic, or there’s a long line at starbucks, or your parents/siblings/boss/friends/children frustrate the crap out of you – stop and smile.
